PhD position in Systems Neuroscience in the Zimmer lab, Department of Neurobiology.

We are a young, committed team looking for support in the development of a project on neuronal in formation pricessing. We can offer you flexible working hours, good further education opportunities, a creative working atmosphere and a suitable starting salary.

The workgroup of Univ. Prof. Dr. Manuel Zimmer seeks for a researcher (substitute for somebody in maternity leave). The work will encompass quantitative ethology and physiological measurements of neuronal activity in the worm C. elegans. It will include application of advances statistical and computational methods.

Participation in research, teaching and administration: - Participation in research projects / research studies - Participation in publications / academic articles / presentations - We expect the successful candidate to sign a doctoral thesis agreement within 12-18 months. - Participation in teaching and independent teaching of courses as defined by the collective agreement - Supervision of students - Involvement in the organisation of meetings, conferences, symposiums - The workgroup of Univ.
