A non-tenured assistant professor position is available in the HCI group at Department of Computer Science at Aarhus University. The purpose of the position is to strengthen the group’s activities in the area of human centered data analytics.<br /><br /><strong>Responsibilities and qualifications:</strong><br />The successful candidate should hold a PhD. degree and have at least a couple of years Post Doc experience in hand. The candidate should have extensive expertise In Human Computer Interaction and Participatory Design, and in particular research experience in undertaking data analytics together with domain experts and citizens. In addition, the candidate should be able to collaborate in an interdisciplinary team.<br /><br />The responsibilities of the successful applicant would include research on the above topics in collaboration with other staff at Department of Computer Science, as well as various external partners. The Department of Computer Science became independent in 1998 and today the department in is internationally recognized among the top groups in several research fields. The department has 35 tenured/tenure track faculty members and a total of 120 employees, including PhD students.<br /><br /><strong>Application procedure</strong><br />Shortlisting is used. This means that after the deadline for applications – and with the assistance from the assessment committee chairman, and the assessment committee if necessary, – the head of department selects the candidates to be evaluated. The selection is made on the basis of an assessment of who of the candidates are most relevant considering the requirements of the advertisement. All applicants will be notified within 6 weeks whether or not their applications have been sent to an expert assessment committee for evaluation. The selected applicants will be informed about the composition of the committee and will receive his/her assessment.
