The Institute of Buildings and Energy at Graz University of Technology has an opening for the position of a:
Research Associate (m/f/d)
10 - 20 hours/week, limited until 31.08.2022
Duties and Responsibilities:
In Kooperation mit unseren Projektpartnern arbeiten wir im FFG- geförderten Vitality District Projekt an einer Software-Lösung für die Planung und Optimierung von Photovoltaikanlagen während der Entwurfsphase von Quartieren unter Berücksichtigung von Verbrauchsprofilen, Gebäudetypologien und Lösungen für Energy-Communities Speicher u.ä.
Zu Ihren Aufgaben gehören die Programmierung und Optimierung einzelner Komponenten in der Grasshopper/Rhinoceros Umgebung in den Programmiersprachen C#/Python, die Leitung und Mitarbeit am Projekt, das Erstellen von Teilberichten in deutscher Sprache sowie Energiesimulationen.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Abgeschlossenes Master- oder Diplomstudium im Bereich Informatik, Softwareentwicklung, Ingenieurswissenschaften, Architektur oder vergleichbare Studienrichtungen
- Programmierkenntnisse in C# (ggf. Python)
- Erfahrung in der Programmieroptimierung mit GPU (Graphics Processing Unit), Multithreading, Datenmanagement
- Sehr gute Deutschkenntnisse, Englischkenntnisse wünschenswert
- Kenntnisse der Programme Rhinoceros und Grasshopper von Vorteil
- Erfahrung in der thermischen Gebäudesimulation wünschenswert (solare Strahlung, Energiebedarf usw.)
- Erfahrung mit Algorithmen (genetic, solvers usw.) vorteilhaft
- Interesse im Bereich Gebäude & Energie
- Verantwortungsvolles und eigenständiges Arbeiten
The position will be paid according to category B1 of the collective agreement for employees of Austrian universities, stipulating a gross salary of € 1.485,75 for 20 hours/week and € 742,88 for 10 hours/week (14 x per year).
