Description
The Chr. Michelsen Institute (CMI) is an independent development research institute based in Bergen, Norway. With a team of 100 dedicated professionals, CMI addresses global challenges by providing research-based knowledge that inspires and shapes policy and practice. Our vision is research for a just and equal world.
CMI's researchers and programme advisors (U4 Anti-Corruption Resource Centre) are primarily social scientists specializing in fields such as anthropology, economics, and political science. Our work is grounded in quality research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and robust research communication. By partnering closely with institutions and communities in the global South, we ensure that local perspectives shape our research priorities and outcomes.
As an organization, CMI values diversity, collaboration, and professional excellence. We are committed to building strong, multidisciplinary teams and fostering an inclusive work environment that enables individuals to thrive.
Our Euraxess services are directed towards employees joining CMI (incoming researchers) and existing employees travelling abroad on mobility grants (outbound mobility for researchers).
