Offer Description
Interdisciplinary knowledge and education are essential for addressing complex problems and societal challenges. The PhD fellow will contribute to clarifying the role that interdisciplinarity should play in political processes. The fellow will be part of the research group Science and Democracy at IFIKK and will write a dissertation in philosophy with an applied orientation. The dissertation should engage with specialized discussions within philosophy of science, social and political epistemology, ethics, political philosophy, or other relevant areas of philosophy.
The position is funded by the Centre for Interdisciplinary Education (INTED), an internationally leading environment for research on interdisciplinarity, and is intended to contribute to the Centre’s research goals. The PhD fellow will have IFIKK as their primary workplace, but it is also expected that the successful candidate will participate in activities at INTED and collaborate with the Centre’s other fellows.
