Offer Description
Description of the research subject :
The recruitment is part of two projects, with an expected investment of 50% of the time in each:
- the PIA4 PEPR project (Priority Exploratory Research Programme) Recycling Household Waste axis. A national research programme involving 120 research laboratories, the aim is to work on the obstacles to the development of recycling in France. The Household Waste axis is particularly interested in sorting processes, the relationship with waste and environmental inequalities in relation to household waste. Research will begin in the first part of this area (to work on inequalities) and will continue in the second part (to work on the textile sector).
- the PIA4 CMA (Compétences et Métiers d'Avenir) COMREVA (Compétences et Métiers du Recyclage et de la Valoristaion) project. The aim of this project is to develop training in the field of waste, reuse, recycling and rudology at the University of Le Mans, in partnership with the Fédération des Entreprises du Réemploi et du Recyclage (FEDERREC). It also involves developing and bringing to life the Rudologie totem site as an experimental platform for the project.
Planning research project :
The PIA 4 PEPR Recycling project began in 2023 and will end in 2028. The PIA4 COMREVA project began in 2024 and will end in 2028. Recruitment will initially be for 2 years; it may be extended until the end of these two projects.
Assigned activities and expected results :
The post-doc recruited will work 50% of his/her time for each of the two projects. His/her tasks will be :
- On the PEPR Reyclage: to develop a personal research methodology to address the issue of environmental justice and inequalities in relation to household waste in general, and textile waste in particular. The person recruited will use a humanities and social sciences approach.
- on the COMREVA project: taking part in the creation of DU (University Diplomas in Rudology) by creating the content, in partnership with the project leader and the teams of teaching engineers, supervising student dissertations and projects in rudology, taking part in the creation and running of the Rudology Place totem by organising seminars and Rudo cafés, providing a link between the world of research and that of operational waste players.
